HAI NGUYEN DINH: Visual artist, performer and songwriter was born in Norway 1980. He began playing guitar and creating music in 1987 not long after the Commodore 64 game The Last Ninja 2 was released, which became a huge inspiration to his sound.
After playing with various hardcore punk bands, he started his first Amiga + guitars project in 1995 together with his brother and a friend from the neighbourhood. At the time he was more focused on playing with traditional bands, and the idea wouldn't not develop into Next Life untill 1999.
After moving to Oslo in 2000 he was convinced to scrap his psychology plans to pursue a life of avant garde music and stage art. During his education at The Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo, he developed his ideas about the project that was already highly visual, into a full blown multimedia stage presentation.
Outside of Next Life, Hai has done several innstallations for gallery utilizing lights, objects and music. He worked three years with norwegian performance group Verdensteatret.
